Unique content is still an absolute must whether it be three, four years ago or today in the year 2013. Writing the best quality, highly researched content is what everyone wants to read, allows us to build quality links to it and it is also what the search engines want to share with its searchers.
How do we do it for our main websites?
We do like all other marketers, we start out by doing our keyword research, or look for trending topics people are searching for answers for. It is not too difficult to find topics to write about. Actually we end up finding too many and our plates get overwhelmed and thus we then need to outsource some of it, although we do prefer to write the content for our money sites ourselves. Why? Well to date we do not think any writer can write about any subject so finding high quality, along with well researched articles by someone else is just about impossible. *Note ( When its not our money site almost any writer will do ).
After finding the topic, we then start the research or if it is a topic we know alot about already we can go from there as well. If we do need to research we start out by using a program called “Instant Article Wizard“. We can load in the main keyword along with some secondary keywords into the program and it goes out and searches multiple sources for some content ideas. After the program is finished we then take time to go through each item it brought back for relevant content ideas and we save them into a basic article that we will be re-writing after finding enough content. Enough content for our money site articles is 1000+ words.
Next we take this template article we just created using Instant Article Wizard and load it into The Best Spinner and start re-writing the whole article so it is completely unique. You do not want to copy anyones work, ever, unless you are going to provide a reference to the person and their article within your article with a link back to the original content. Overall though you want your content to 100% unique that reads well and that hopefully other people will enjoy reading. If you do that the chances of being rewarded rise considerably plus you will be outdoing about 99% of the other people trying to rank their content on the internet today.
Now some tips about how to setup your articles for onsite SEO.
- We recommend keeping the keyword density within each article to around 1 to 1.5%, this includes titles etc.,this way we feel we are not viewed as keyword stuffers yet the search engines can find out what our articles are about. A couple of recommended tools we use for checking are this wordpress plugin Keyword Density Monitor Plugin and also this online tool Free Keyword Density Analyzer Tool.
- Make your title of the article either an H1 or H2 tag with your keyword in the title, not using just the keyword as your title.
- Use three to four subtitles within your articles but only use your keyword within one of these subtitles, this way the article does not look spammy but more like it was written for reading not for SEO purposes.
- Within the article link to a couple of authority sites using the main keyword, this helps give your article more authority when you reference other good sources of information. ex. Wikipeida.org is an authority site. (#Tip – We use CSS to makes these outbound links look like the regular text in our articles so the reader does not leave our site.)
So that is how we put together content for our main sites that we want to rank well. At the minimum we post at least two articles on our sites over 1000 words in length along with the typical legal pages and disclaimers. After our site is indexed we then go and start our work on getting targeted traffic with our newest favourite tool Buzzbundle.
