Flinders Port Holdings introduced a custom-designed float at the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide, celebrating the significance of maritime trade and its role in bringing festive joy to South Australians.
The event, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, is marked by the iconic golden whistle. Since 1933, the Christmas Pageant has symbolized the start of the festive season in South Australia, drawing thousands of spectators to city streets.
“Thrilled to finally unveil our FPH float,”
stated Flinders Port Holdings on social media, emphasizing that the float celebrates the essential role of maritime trade in delivering joy and gifts to South Australians each year.
“Our float is particularly special—it's the first custom-built float to join the pageant in five years, proudly featuring a replica of one of our Pilot boats, alongside a crew of straddle carriers, containers, and FPH elves ticking off Christmas gifts.”
The company added that the float’s blue fabric details give the illusion of the Pilot Boat gliding through the water, enhancing the maritime theme.
Earlier this week, the float was officially launched at Outer Harbor, where several of the FPH elves joined the celebration.
