Bo Nix threw a touchdown pass as the Denver Broncos extended their NFL win streak to seven games with a 10-7 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday.
The defense-led game lifted Denver to an NFL-best 8-2 record, increasing their lead atop the AFC West division over the Los Angeles Chargers (6-3). This marks their longest winning streak since 2015.
"We have a really good defense and they showed up again tonight," said Bo Nix. "We didn't give them the best of fields at times but they still made plays and kept them out of field goal range. They keep winning games for us and getting us the ball back and at some point we have to return to favor."
The Broncos' next game will be at home on November 16 against division rival Kansas City (5-4), their only matchup in the next 23 days due to a bye week.
"We've got a lot of work to do," Nix commented. "But we're winning and that's all that matters."
Ashton Jeanty scored a four-yard touchdown run 11:58 into the game to put Las Vegas ahead, but Denver's defense dominated from that point forward.
Author's summary: The Denver Broncos secured their seventh straight victory through strong defense and key plays, maintaining their lead in the AFC West with ambitious eyes on upcoming challenges.
