Pavel Zacha scored with just 5.6 seconds left in overtime, securing a 3-2 victory for the Boston Bruins over the Ottawa Senators at TD Garden on Thursday. This win marked Boston’s fifth consecutive victory.
Claude Giroux recorded a goal and an assist, and Michael Amadio scored early in the game to put the Senators ahead.
"Amadio gave the Senators a 1-0 lead at 5:42 of the first period. Shane Pinto took a short pass from Giroux at the offensive blue line, skated in on a 2-on-1 and passed across to Amadio, who finished glove side with a quick wrist shot from the bottom of the right circle."
Morgan Geekie tied the game 1-1 early in the second period by jamming in a rebound after a slap shot from Peeke slipped through Ullmark’s blocker. This came following Geekie’s aggressive forecheck that helped the Bruins retain possession.

The Senators had not played since a 4-3 overtime loss against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.
