Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown has been extradited from Dubai to Miami, where he will face trial on an attempted murder charge. The charge relates to a shooting incident that occurred outside a boxing event earlier this year.
Brown, who spent the majority of his 12-year NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is accused of firing two shots at a man after a dispute at an amateur boxing event in Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood on May 16.
According to an arrest warrant issued in June, Brown appeared to grab “a black firearm from the right hip area” of a security official and fired at a man, later identified as Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu.
Video footage from the event, which was hosted by streamer and internet personality Adin Ross, showed Brown engaged in a physical altercation during the boxing match.
