Channel Nine faces a change in its familiar lineup as longtime weather presenter Livinia Nixon announces her departure from 9News Melbourne after twenty years. Known for her energy and warmth, Nixon shared that she is stepping back to spend more time with her family.
“After 20 years presenting weather on 9News, I’ve decided to step back from this role. My sons will both be in high school and I want to be there to support them. It’s been a privilege to be welcomed into viewers’ homes for so long, but this is the right time for my family,”

Nixon, who joined the Nine network in 1997 after gaining national attention on Hey Hey It’s Saturday with Daryl Somers, will remain part of the Nine family. She confirmed that she will continue presenting on the network’s popular travel programs.
