Trysull and Seisdon WI members have once again displayed poppies on the war memorial at Trysull church. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Remembrance Day poppy display has been held there.
The members devoted significant effort to knitting thousands of poppies as a tribute to those who lost their lives during the war. Purple poppies were also included to honor the animals that served and died alongside soldiers.
After washing and drying the poppies, several members carefully tied them onto fresh netting, which was then secured to the memorial at Trysull. Passers-by praised the display for its beauty.
"While we were busy doing this several passers-by commented on how lovely they looked. A fitting tribute to all those who gave their lives."
