Free Transit for Veterans on Remembrance Day

TransLink will honor veterans and active military personnel this Remembrance Day by providing free transit on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. This offer recognizes their service and sacrifice.

How to Access Free Transit

Eligible individuals can present their badge, military ID, Veteran’s Service Card, or wear their uniform to ride free. Veterans and qualified customers do not need to tap their Compass Card when using buses and HandyDART. An accessible fare gate will remain open at SkyTrain and SeaBus stations from 8 a.m.

Additional Observances

TransLink also recognizes National Indigenous Veterans Day on Saturday, November 8, acknowledging the sacrifices of Indigenous veterans and their contributions to global peace and security.

The Royal Canadian Legion will be distributing poppies by donation at various transit hubs in Metro Vancouver.

Customers are encouraged to use transit to attend Remembrance Day ceremonies across the region.
