Gary Lineker has observed a significant change in Marcus Rashford since the forward left Manchester United on loan to Barcelona. Rashford has impressed this season in Spain, scoring six goals and providing seven assists in 14 matches.
The English striker's recent performances, including a standout goal against Elche, have been so strong that Barcelona is likely to exercise the option to buy him permanently. Rashford now appears renewed and confident, playing with a positive attitude that contrasts sharply with his time at Manchester United.
“Yeah, I’m really pleased for him, because obviously he had a tough year or two at Manchester United. And there were difficulties there, and he lost his form a little bit and probably lost his confidence. And, you know, football is full of ups and downs.
But I think with Marcus in particular, he seems to be either, you know, when he’s on fire, he’s fantastic, but he can dip and form.
And hopefully, that won’t happen at Barcelona. He’s more mature now."
Gary Lineker highlights Rashford’s regained confidence and maturity at Barcelona, marking a remarkable turnaround since his struggles at Manchester United.
