Amen Thompson contributed 17 points and nine rebounds, while Alperen Sengun nearly recorded a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.
Josh Okogie added 12 points, helping Houston secure its third straight victory after starting the season 0–2. The Rockets also snapped Boston’s three-game winning streak.
Baylor Scheierman led Boston with 17 points, followed by Payton Pritchard with 14, Jaylen Brown with 12, and Josh Minott with 10 points and six rebounds. Brown rested in the final quarter after a 32-point performance in the team’s 109–108 win at Philadelphia the previous night.
The Celtics struggled to find rhythm throughout the game and couldn’t match the pace of the Rockets, who shot 57 percent in the first half and led 66–48 at the break. Houston also dominated the boards, outrebounding Boston 53–36.
