Edgar Wright is delivering a faithful adaptation of Stephen King's The Running Man. Alongside reviving King’s story, Wright is also bringing back the classic DVD commentary experience for fans.
One scene that particularly stood out features Glen Powell and Daniel Ezra both wearing sleeveless shirts, showcasing their arms. The camera then cuts to Lee Pace, also sleeveless. This moment emphasized the physical strength of the characters, creating a memorable “holy arms” visual, something that Wright himself appreciated.
When asked about the character Ben Richards' physicality, Wright shared his observations about that scene during the DVD commentary recording.
“It’s funny, we did the commentary for the film the other day and it was actually Glen’s first DVD commentary,” Wright said. “And I said something to him, which I didn’t say to him on set, there’s a scene with him and Daniel Ezra who plays Bradley. I said, ‘You guys were really having a gun off this day.’ Glen said, ‘Oh yeah, it was the gun show’ because Daniel is in incredible shape.”
Wright’s comment highlights the fresh dynamic Glen Powell brought to the commentary, revealing behind-the-scenes details and adding excitement for the upcoming DVD release of The Running Man.
