Gibson has introduced the Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere Collection, a lineup of guitars featured in and inspired by the new Bruce Springsteen biopic of the same name. The collection celebrates the authentic tones and craftsmanship of instruments that shaped Springsteen’s sound in the early 1980s.
According to a press release, both Gibson and Epiphone acoustic guitars—many handmade at Gibson’s acoustic craftory in Bozeman, Montana—were used during filming and the recording of the original soundtrack. These instruments were selected to replicate the tone and signal chains from Springsteen’s early career.
Actor Jeremy Allen White plays many of these guitars in his portrayal of Springsteen. The artist himself famously used a late-1950s Gibson SJ-200 on his 1982 album Nebraska, which serves as the narrative core of the film.
“The Gibson Custom 1957 SJ-200 reflects the spirit of Springsteen’s iconic sound while honoring its vintage legacy.”
Gibson’s new collection celebrates Bruce Springsteen’s enduring influence, blending historical craftsmanship with modern reissues of his most iconic acoustic guitars.
