North Lincolnshire Unites for Remembrance Sunday
North Lincolnshire will pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of its armed forces on Remembrance Sunday with a parade and remembrance service in Scunthorpe on Sunday, 9 November.
Event Details
- The parade will assemble outside The Baths Hall starting at 10:10 AM.
- The procession will begin at 10:25 AM, moving along Doncaster Road to the Cenotaph outside North Lincolnshire Museum.
- Participants can meet for tea and coffee inside The Baths Hall from 9:30 AM or gather outside from 10:00 AM.
- The parade includes serving personnel, veterans, military organizations, and uniformed groups.
Remembrance Service
The service will start at 10:45 AM with an Act of Remembrance, followed by a two-minute silence at 11:00 AM and a wreath-laying ceremony.
Afterwards, the parade will return to The Baths Hall via Vicarage Gardens.
Post-Service Gathering
The Baths Hall will host refreshments for attendees to reflect and come together after the service.
Cllr Carol Ross, Mayor of North Lincolnshire, said: “It is a privilege to lead our community in remembering and honouring the immense contribution of our armed forces – those who serve today and those who have served.”
