A 26-year-old man was critically injured after being slashed across the neck in South Richmond Hill, Queens, following a dispute over a parking spot.
The victim had just parked near Liberty Avenue and 123 Street around 3:30 a.m. on October 18 when another driver in a GMC Terrain approached. According to police, the suspect exited his vehicle, demanded the man move his car, and then attacked him by slashing his neck.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he received treatment for critical injuries.
Neighbors mentioned that late nights in the area have become increasingly unpredictable due to a bar crowd and limited parking availability.
“Late nights have become more unpredictable with a bar crowd in the area and fewer parking spaces,” neighbors said.
