Mail Service to Canada to Resume Next Week

Mail shipments to Canada will resume next week despite the ongoing rolling strike by Canada Post. A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Post Office confirmed that shipments to Canada will restart on Monday, though some delivery delays might still happen due to ongoing disruptions.

“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”

Mail deliveries from Bermuda to Canada were suspended in late September because of a nationwide strike at Canada Post. Recently, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers shifted from a full strike to a rotating strike approach, enabling mail services to gradually resume.

Bermuda Post Office Local Closures

Additionally, the Bermuda Post Office announced that all local post offices will close at noon tomorrow for a staff event.

“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”
