2026 Grammy Award nominations announced

The nominations for the 68th annual Grammy Awards were revealed in November, highlighting outstanding achievements in recorded music released since August. The ceremony will be held on February 1 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, and it will be broadcast live on CBS and available on Paramount+.

Broadway Recognized in Best Musical Theater Album

The Best Musical Theater Album category features five nominees this year:

Buena Vista Social Club
Death Becomes Her
Gypsy
Just in Time
Maybe Happy Ending

This category honors excellence in both the production and performance of musical theater recordings. More than 40 albums were submitted for consideration, reflecting strong competition.

Individual Nominees for Buena Vista Social Club

The producers of the original Broadway cast recording — Marco Paguia, Dean Sharenow, and David Yazbek — are the individual nominees representing Buena Vista Social Club.

“Paguia is also the orchestrator, arranger and music director of the Broadway production; he earned a 2025 Tony Award for Best Orchestrations as well as a 2025 Special Tony as part of the show’s onstage band.”

Yazbek serves as a creative consultant on the musical, while Sharenow acts as the musical supervisor.
