Ahead of her new film Eternity, starring alongside Callum Turner and Miles Teller, Olsen appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! dressed in Dodgers gear, celebrating the team’s second straight World Series title.
Olsen admitted feeling overwhelmed during the interview because the Dodgers themselves were guests on the same episode, giving her a chance to meet the team. She explained that her fandom for the Dodgers has developed over the last eight years, not from childhood, and that fans now gift her Dodgers-themed items at comic-cons, including a custom Scarlet Witch headpiece painted with Dodger colors and a homemade Kike Hernandez t-shirt.
“In some ways, it’s been interesting because there are Marvel fans, and so I’m on the other end of that, right?” Olsen said. “And it wasn’t really until I started, like, doubling down every year on the Dodgers for the last eight years… that I started to realize how much I am a fan of it.”
Kimmel noted that Olsen’s experience helps her understand what Marvel fans “were all screaming about.” Olsen clarified her perspective:
