The Sacramento Kings are set for a major showdown on Wednesday night, but the game will miss some of its star appeal against the Golden State Warriors.
Earlier in the day, Golden State reported that Stephen Curry would not play due to illness. Later, Sacramento confirmed its own injury updates, ruling out two key contributors.
Domantas Sabonis will not participate in Wednesday night's game because of a left ribcage contusion. This marks his first missed contest since the opening game of the season.
In addition, Zach LaVine is unavailable for the matchup against the Warriors as he deals with lower back soreness.
"Domantas Sabonis has been ruled out of the Wednesday night matchup with the Warriors. Sabonis has a left ribcage contusion."
"Zach LaVine is also out on Wednesday night against Golden State. His absence will be due to lower back soreness."
The Kings will face the Warriors without Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine, both sidelined by injuries, while Stephen Curry also remains out for Golden State.
