Zach LaVine did not choose to be traded to the Sacramento Kings and appears to miss playing for the Chicago Bulls. During a recent road trip to Chicago, the Bulls honored their former player, highlighting LaVine’s lasting connection to the city.
Originally drafted 13th overall in 2014 by the Minnesota Timberwolves, LaVine played three seasons there before moving to Chicago in 2017. The Bulls became his home until a three-team trade in early 2025 sent him to Sacramento.
While with the Bulls, LaVine gained a reputation as a strong shooter and a potent offensive player. However, the Bulls' management struggled to build a strong team around him. His new situation in Sacramento appears worse, facing challenges similar to those he faced in Chicago.
He expressed nostalgia and affection for Chicago, saying he loved the city and enjoyed playing there, despite the difficulties he faced.
Zach LaVine’s trade to the Kings has left him in an uneasy position, as he remains nostalgic about Chicago but struggles to find the same success and stability with Sacramento.
