The National Aerospace Library's Oral History Project is now two years strong.
History is not just about dates and major events, but also about everyday moments that are easily forgotten. Many organizations are turning to oral history to preserve personal experiences before they are lost to time.
In early 2024, the National Aerospace Library launched an initiative to capture first-hand accounts of life in aviation and aerospace from those whose stories have yet to be told. These stories offer valuable insights that can help today's professionals navigate current challenges and inspire current and future generations.
A trained team of volunteers has already completed 27 interviews, highlighting the importance of preserving these personal stories.
