Josh Hutcherson and Spanish actress Claudia Traisac have been together since 2013, maintaining a private yet enduring relationship that has spanned more than a decade. Despite both working in the film industry, the couple manages to keep their personal lives largely out of the public eye.
The two first met while filming Escobar: Paradise Lost, and since then have built what Hutcherson calls a deeply supportive partnership. Now, as he returns to television with I Love LA, the 33-year-old actor is sharing insights into what keeps their relationship strong after 12 years together.
“In my life and relationship, because we're both actors, it's very hot and cold as far as how much time we get together,”
Hutcherson explains that their unpredictable schedules can be a challenge, but he believes this dynamic contributes to their connection rather than harming it.
“It's a hard thing to find balance in,”
he admits, acknowledging that both he and Traisac, 32, face constant shifts in their professional lives. Yet, according to Hutcherson, that same unpredictability is what helps their relationship stay alive and interesting.
“That’s part of the reason why it works. It’s exciting too, in so many ways,”
he adds, emphasizing that the constant changes in their lives make every reunion feel fresh and meaningful.
Josh Hutcherson credits the unpredictability of his and Claudia Traisac’s acting careers for keeping their 12-year relationship vibrant, balanced, and full of excitement.
