Ismael Bonfim failed to make weight at the official UFC Vegas 111 weigh-ins, coming in 5 pounds over the lightweight limit. The fighter registered at 161 pounds, exceeding the 156-pound lightweight cut-off including the one-pound allowance for non-title fights.

This marks the second time Bonfim has missed weight in his UFC career. He also missed weight by 3.5 pounds in a scheduled fight against Vinc Pichel at UFC Sao Paulo in November 2023. Pichel declined to fight, stating:

“I decided to take away his ability to fight and make money.”
