The soundtrack for 28 Years Later will be released on vinyl on December 19 through Milan Records. Composed by the Scottish progressive hip hop group Young Fathers, known for their work on T2 Trainspotting, the album is a 2xLP pressed on translucent red vinyl. It comes housed in a gatefold jacket with printed sleeves.

Milan Records describes the album as an electrifying mix of original vocal tracks and instrumental score. It includes fan-favorite songs such as “Promised Land,” “Causeway,” and “Boots,” the latter featuring words from Rudyard Kipling’s wartime poem used with striking effect.

About the Film

28 Years Later marks the reunion of director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland for the third installment of the post-apocalyptic horror series. The franchise began with 2002’s 28 Days Later and continued with 2007’s 28 Weeks Later.

Nearly three decades after a rage virus escaped a biological weapons lab, the world remains under a strict quarantine. Some survivors have adapted, including a group living on a small island connected to the mainland by a heavily guarded causeway.

“The Scottish progressive hip hop group bring an electrifying blend of original vocal tracks and instrumental score to the album.”
“Featured are fan-favorite tracks ‘Promised Land,’ ‘Causeway,’ and ‘Boots’ – the latter incorporating the words of Rudyard Kipling’s wartime poem, used to terrifying effect.”

Author’s summary: The 28 Years Later soundtrack, a dynamic blend of vocals and score by Young Fathers, will arrive on limited red vinyl, complementing the film’s tense, post-apocalyptic narrative.
