Renell Robert, fondly remembered for his words
“So beautiful,”was born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, to Dorothy and Lester. Deeply rooted in his home state, he cherished Louisiana’s traditions—fishing, hunting, family gatherings, and cheering for Tulane football.
After graduating from Gonzales High School, Renell proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. A decorated Vietnam War veteran, he later attended Southeastern Louisiana University and spent over thirty years working with his brothers at Ciba Geigy/Syngenta.
Known affectionately as “Fix-It,” Renell found joy in restoring broken things and creating beauty wherever he went. Gardening and working outdoors were his passions, but nothing compared to the love he shared with his wife of thirteen years, Lillie.
Renell’s greatest pride came from his daughters, Robyn and Rebecca. His face would light up whenever he spoke about them, filled with love and admiration. As the older brother to Phyllis, Dale, Faryl, Rickey, Kirk, and Keeley, his home was always full of laughter and life.
His grandchildren—Sophia, Gavin, Cohen, Colin, Connor, Kaylee, Brady, Chloe Max, and Bellamie—were the shining lights of his later years.
“Poppa loves those babies more than sunshine.”
Renell’s life was a reflection of love, service, and dedication to his family, friends, and faith. His legacy continues in every smile and warm memory he leaves behind.
Renell Robert lived a full life rooted in Louisiana culture, family love, and service—his legacy of kindness and devotion continues to inspire those who knew him.
