Australian Olympic swimming star Ariarne Titmus has shared significant updates about her personal life after retiring from competitive swimming at the age of 25.
Titmus recently moved to Melbourne to live with her partner, Mac Powell, an investment analyst.
"It's just happened this week, new beginnings, a fresh start, a new chapter," Titmus said. "Mac and I are living together. It was hard to leave Queensland, but I do have family in Melbourne and a lot of friends here who have moved from Tasmania."
She expressed satisfaction with her retirement decision, enjoying the transition to a more typical lifestyle which includes simple pleasures like cooking at home and sharing wine with family and friends.
"It took me a while to make the decision...and I've definitely made the right one," Titmus told News Corp.
Additionally, she likely appreciates no longer having to wake up for early training sessions.
