Toyota has confirmed that the new Hilux will be produced in South Africa. The model is expected to hit local showrooms in 2026, although exact launch dates and specifications have not yet been disclosed.
Although the 2026 Hilux rides on the existing platform, it represents a major design overhaul. The vehicle’s rear section has been completely reworked for a more muscular appearance, while the sides remain similar to the current generation aside from updated running boards.
