The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is deeply saddened to confirm the unexpected passing of Ian Leavers APM, Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner, former President of the Queensland Police Union of Employees (QPUE), and former QPS member.
Mr. Leavers was found deceased at a Mount Ommaney address around 9:50 a.m. this morning. Police investigations are ongoing, but his death is not treated as suspicious.
