His Majesty The King Leads Nation in Silence on Remembrance Sunday

His Majesty The King will lead the United Kingdom in the traditional two-minute silence to honor those who lost their lives in conflict. The act of remembrance will take place during the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in London.

The King will be joined by members of the Royal Family, the Prime Minister, senior politicians, and representatives of various faiths as the nation marks both the Armistice of the First World War and all subsequent conflicts involving British and Commonwealth forces.

Approximately 10,000 veterans are expected to participate in the Royal British Legion’s March Past. The event will include more than 300 military and civilian organizations, with participants ranging from bereaved families and military cadets to some of the few remaining veterans of the Second World War.

“His Majesty The King will lead the nation in a two-minute silence to remember those who died in conflict.”
