The latest JNLR listenership figures for the period October 2024 to September 2025 have been published, bringing mixed results for RTÉ Radio 1. While several weekday programmes experienced small declines, weekend shows performed impressively, showing steady or growing audience numbers.
Brendan O’Connor’s weekend programmes showed strong improvements. His Saturday show now attracts 419,000 listeners, up by 7,000 from the last report. The Sunday edition performed even better, with 427,000 listeners — an impressive rise of 18,000.
Miriam O’Callaghan’s Sunday with Miriam also showed positive momentum, reaching 337,000 listeners, which is 20,000 more than in the previous period.
Morning Ireland continues to dominate Irish airwaves with 471,000 daily listeners, adding 2,000 more since the last count. Drivetime followed with an audience of 220,000, gaining 3,000 new listeners.
In contrast, Today with Claire Byrne maintained its stable base of 354,000 listeners. The Oliver Callan Show saw a decline to 347,000, losing 7,000 listeners, while The Ray D’Arcy Show dropped slightly by 1,000 to 181,000.
