Temperatures will be widely mild, generally between 12 and 15°C, locally reaching 16 to 17°C near high ground, particularly in northern, northeastern, and eastern Scotland.
There is a risk of local gales, particularly in exposed northern and western regions.
Conditions will remain very mild, cloudy, and windy overnight over much of the country. Further rain is likely across Wales, northern England, and southern Scotland. Northern Ireland and parts of northern and western Scotland can expect clearer skies but blustery showers.
A yellow warning for rain has been issued for parts of Cumbria from midnight until 11:00 am Tuesday, with 30–60 mm of rain expected, and up to 80 mm in some areas.
This comes after an already wet period, raising the risk of flooding and travel disruption. Overnight temperatures will stay high, with some places in England and Wales not dropping below 14°C.
