CBBC signs MoU with ICBC during the 7th China International Import Expo

The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) on the sidelines of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE). The collaboration aims to strengthen financial support for British enterprises engaging in the Chinese market.

“CBBC works with 500 companies and universities, for many of whom financial services are an indispensable component when entering China. Thus, we firmly believe that by working hand in hand with ICBC, we will be better positioned to support British businesses when investing and expanding in the Chinese market.”

CBBC emphasized that ICBC London has long offered essential assistance to its member organizations, including introductions, registration support, and account-opening facilitation. At this year’s CIIE, ICBC’s pavilion once again offers a central platform for showcasing British firms and fostering deeper commercial engagement.

“This is a vivid illustration of how ICBC is enabling European enterprises, and especially British enterprises, to gain access to and succeed in the Chinese market.”

Five CBBC member companies joined ICBC’s Food Pavilion this year at the invitation of ICBC London. Moreover, one enterprise that previously exhibited through ICBC’s booth decided to establish its own presence at CIIE after recognizing the opportunities and energy of China’s growing market.
