Moses Itauma will fight Jermaine Franklin on January 24 at Co-op Live in Manchester, with the fight broadcast live on DAZN.
Jermaine Franklin, 32, previously lost on points to Dillian Whyte in a controversial decision in November 2022, followed by a unanimous decision defeat to Anthony Joshua in April 2023. Since then, Franklin has secured three consecutive wins, including a points victory over Ivan Dychko in Las Vegas last September.
In August, Itauma impressively defeated Whyte in just one round. Initially, he was set to fight WBA ‘regular’ champion Kubrat Pulev after the WBA ordered the bout on October 15, with 30 days given to finalize terms. However, Pulev chose to defend his title against Murat Gassiev on December 12 in Dubai, prompting Itauma to seek alternative opponents while awaiting his title shot.
The fight card, named Magnificent 7, includes a key light heavyweight bout between Willy Hutchinson and Ezra Taylor. This event also celebrates Frank Warren's 45th year as a boxing promoter.
“We are thrilled to be delivering such a strong Magnificent 7 bounty for the fans in our first UK show of 2026,” Warren said. “It is a statement of intent for the New Year and a sign of things to come."
Summary: Moses Itauma faces Jermaine Franklin on January 24 in Manchester as part of the 'Magnificent 7' event, marking a significant step in his rising career while celebrating promoter Frank Warren’s milestone.
