Morrisons Announces Major Closures
The supermarket has closed 17 smaller Morrisons Daily convenience stores as part of a major restructuring effort. A total of 103 outlets including cafes, florists, and pharmacies are set to close.
Details of Closures
- More than 50 cafes will shut down.
- 13 florists will close.
- Four pharmacies are being axed.
- All 18 Market Kitchens will permanently close.
- 35 meat counters and 35 fish counters are also expected to close.

“In some stores where we are closing counters or Cafés, we plan to work with third parties to provide a relevant specialist offer. Additional Store Closures
Morrisons closed all but one of its Daily stores by April 16. The Haxby branch in North Yorkshire closed on May 14, less than a month later.
