World-renowned actor, comedian, and campaigner Suzy Eddie Izzard visited St Michael’s CofE Primary School in Louth on November 3. The visit was organized by the Creativity Academy, a Lincolnshire charity devoted to encouraging creativity and confidence among young people.
While currently touring the world with her acclaimed solo show The Tragedy of Hamlet, Izzard met with Key Stage 2 pupils and staff, performing select scenes from the production following successful runs in London and on Broadway.
During the hour-long visit, Suzy Izzard took part in a discussion with Ben Keaton — a multi-award-winning actor, writer, and director who founded the Creativity Academy. The conversation explored creativity, Shakespeare, and the realities of artistic life. The two performers first collaborated on the London comedy circuit in the 1990s.
“Our aim has always been to give children direct access to outstanding creative minds — to show them that art, performance and ideas belong to everyone,”
said Ben Keaton, expressing that the experience would be unforgettable for the pupils and a reminder of the power of imagination and courage.
The Creativity Academy operates as a registered charity in East Lindsey, continuing its mission to connect young people with inspiring creative role models.
Suzy Eddie Izzard brought Shakespearean magic to Louth, engaging young minds through performance and conversation about creativity and artistic courage.
