Kyrgyzstan is collaborating with South Korean organizations to build a sanitary landfill in Kemin, a town located in the northern Chui region, around 95 km from the capital.
The project aims to improve waste management infrastructure in the area by creating a modern, environmentally safe landfill facility. This initiative is expected to address ongoing challenges with waste disposal and environmental protection in the region.
This cooperation marks a significant step for Kyrgyzstan in upgrading its waste management systems while leveraging international support for sustainable development.
"This project reinforces our commitment to improving environmental conditions and public health through modern infrastructure development," stated a representative from the Kyrgyz authorities.
South Korea's engagement is a practical example of international partnership enhancing Kyrgyzstan's environmental management capabilities while promoting ecological sustainability.
