AUSA 2025: Ground-Launched StormBreaker

Raytheon, an RTX business, successfully test-fired its new Ground-Launched StormBreaker at a private test range in the Mojave Desert in March.

According to Jon Norman, vice-president of requirements and capabilities for Air & Space Defense Systems at Raytheon, the ground-launched system was developed in just 50 days using Internal Research and Development (IRAD) funds.

Rapid development was enabled through digital engineering and computer modelling.

The Ground-Launched StormBreaker is set to bring long-range, precision strike to the battlefield, with its capabilities to be showcased at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) conference in Washington, DC, from 13 to 15 October.
