Free Parking in Downtown Savannah This Holiday Season
Planning a visit to downtown Savannah for a winter stroll or holiday shopping? The city has announced several dates when visitors can enjoy free parking at all city-owned garages.
Available Free Parking Dates
Savannah’s city government is providing complimentary parking on select days to encourage local shopping and festivities:
- Thanksgiving weekend
- The first weekend of December
- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
- New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
Free parking applies only to municipal parking garages operated by the City of Savannah.
“We want to make it easier for everyone to experience downtown during the holidays,” city officials shared in the announcement.
Visitor Information
Drivers should note that the program covers only designated city garages, not private lots. Standard parking rates will resume on all other days outside the listed holiday periods.
