Pope Asks Catholics to Support Missions
Pope Leo XIV urged Catholics to commit to bringing Christ to the world through prayer and donations.

In a video message, Pope Leo asked every Catholic parish to observe World Mission Sunday on Oct. 19 and take up the annual collection supporting Catholic missionary work.
- He served as a missionary priest and bishop in Peru from 1985 to 1999 and 2014 to 2023.
- He encouraged Catholics to pray for missionaries and the fruitfulness of their work.
Pope Leo's message was released on Oct. 13, in English, Spanish, and Italian.
