Reds boss Les Kiss has expressed his happiness about the return of Carter Gordon to rugby union.
"It's fantastic that he's coming back home."
Kiss revealed that he oversaw Gordon's return, which is expected to benefit both the club and the country. He stated that the return was a combined effort between Rugby Australia and Queensland.
"I think there was always something in Carter's mind that he'd like to come back one day, but from my perspective, this just accelerated in the last four or five days."
Gordon's return comes after an injury-ravaged time in the NRL. The 24-year-old's physical presence is expected to be an asset to the team.
