Sharks Blow Another 3rd Period Lead, Lose Dickinson’s Debut 7-6 to Ducks in OT
The San Jose Sharks welcomed the Anaheim Ducks into SAP Center, marking Sam Dickinson’s NHL debut. Despite goals from Tyler Toffoli, Ryan Reaves, Mario Ferraro, John Klingberg, Adam Gaudette, and Jeff Skinner, the Sharks lost 7-6 in overtime.
In the first period, a notable play occurred when Mario Ferraro prevented an exit pass, finding Eklund, who made a remarkable move, ankle-turning Zellweger. Although nothing came of it, the move was impressive.
That shift was poetry in motion, starting with Celebrini drawing a penalty trying to split the defense.
Tyler Toffoli scored a goal, thanks to Will Smith, who slowed down the Celebrini pass and placed it perfectly for Toffoli to one-time it in. The Sharks ultimately lost, blowing another 3rd period lead.
