Boeing Unveils Concept for Army Unmanned Tiltrotor Aircraft
Boeing has revealed a concept for a tiltrotor drone wingman to support the Army's helicopter fleet.
The CxR aircraft is designed to operate alongside Army helicopters in combat and cargo operations, with a focus on reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition, and attack.
"We see a lot of demand in that RSTA mission: reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition and attack,"
according to Chris Speights, chief engineer for Boeing's vertical lift division.
