Stolen Firearms Recovered in KwaMbonambi
National news: Following a tip-off, KwaMbonambi police arrested a man found with an unlicensed firearm during an operation at Nhlabane Reserve.
The suspect was found asleep with a 9mm pistol and three live rounds. He failed to produce a firearm licence and was arrested.
- A 9mm pistol (S/R Number T6368/17BL017432) was seized.
- One magazine and ammunition were also seized.
It is alleged that the firearm was stolen during a house robbery at Nhlanzini Reserve near KwaMbonambi on 27 July last year.
An adult female was sleeping when armed unknown males entered, demanding safe keys and taking the firearm and a shotgun 12 GA with Serial Number U217-11505.
