Defection of Enugu State Governor to APC
The Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, is set to formally defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mbah, who was elected on the PDP platform, will be joined by members of the House of Assembly, council chairmen, councillors, and other appointees.
APC Delegation
A powerful APC delegation, led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, is expected in Enugu to present the APC flag to the governor. The delegation includes:
- Nentawe Yilwatda, APC National Chairman
- Godswill Akpabio, Senate President
- Abbas Tajudeen, Speaker of the House of Representatives
Additionally, Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, is expected to dump the PDP in the coming days, with his defection already finalized, according to government insiders.
