In 2013, Omega released two significant models: the Speedmaster Professional "Racing" and the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon. The latter was a revolutionary watch, being a black ceramic version of the caliber-9300-powered Speedmaster.
The Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon featured a two-register dial and a domed sapphire crystal on the back, with the case, dial, and bezel all made of ceramic, a scratch-resistant material.
As the 10th anniversary of the model approached in 2023, an update was expected.
The Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon was a black ceramic version of the caliber-9300-powered Speedmaster.
