A petrol bomb was thrown at a bungalow on the southside of Limerick city while a family was watching TV.
The scene has been cordoned off by gardai for a forensic examination after the incident occurred on Monday night at approximately 9:15pm.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí received a report of an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred at a domestic residence in Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick on Monday, October 13 at approximately 9:15pm.”
No injuries have been reported and investigations are ongoing, according to gardai.
