Buddy Mac Leads Bellingham's Old-School Country Revival

Musician and ventriloquist Buddy Mac is set to play a Halloween show at Arcadian Public House, potentially leading a revival of classic cowboy country music.

With a massive collection of over 10,000 old country and bluegrass LPs inherited from his great-grandfather, Buddy Mac, whose stage name belongs to Brady McAtee, has a deep love for the music and cowboy aesthetic.

After performing solo or with occasional collaborators, McAtee teamed up with Jan Peters on harmonica, who helped assemble the Ten-Gallon Troubadours, a crew of local musicians.

No musical style from the past is safe from revival, from swing dancing to sea shanties.

Buddy Mac and the Ten-Gallon Troubadours are ready to lead the charge if classic cowboy country music makes a comeback.

Author's summary: Buddy Mac leads Bellingham's country revival.
