Aerospace Manufacturing in 2025: Key Issues
The Royal Aeronautical Society and Protolabs conducted their third joint survey on industry trends and challenges. Stephen Bridgewater FRAeS analyzed the data.
The annual Manufacturing in the Aerospace Industry survey, first conducted in 2023, has seen a shift in emphasis towards meeting defence sector demands in 2025.
- The 2025 survey had 165 responses from RAeS members worldwide.
- 44.4% of respondents were engineers, up from 37.62% in 2024 and 24.98% in 2023.
- 17.28% of respondents listed their job title as "Other", down from 19.26% in 2024 but higher than 8.08% in 2023.
