Motion Condemning the Dual BA Programme

The Trinity College Dublin Students Union (TCDSU) Comhairle has voted in favour of a motion to condemn the Dual BA Programme between Trinity and Columbia University.

The proposal was brought forward by Harry Johnston, the current Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) chair, who stated that the motion is a "beginning of a wider campaign" aimed at ending the programme.

"This motion is designed to protect the welfare of Trinity students, while also respecting students who wish to complete the Dual BA Programme. As the Student Union, the welfare of our students as well as their rights to freedom of association and freedom of expression. We have an obligation to speak up when our students are attacked."
