Rescue Deal Saves Over 400 Jobs at Roberts Bakery
A pre-pack deal with Boparan Private Office has saved 433 jobs at Roberts Bakery across two sites.
The deal, made for an undisclosed fee, was announced on October 15 and sees the creation of a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan.
The new company is a reference to the year the Cheshire-based business was founded.
The rescue deal comes just over a week after the fourth-generation family business filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
