Rescue Deal Saves Over 400 Jobs at Roberts Bakery
A pre-pack deal with Boparan Private Office has saved 433 jobs at Roberts Bakery, a bakery manufacturer based in Cheshire.
The deal, made for an undisclosed fee, was announced on October 15 and sees the creation of a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, owned by private investment firm Boparan Private Office.
The private investment firm is owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan.
The rescue deal comes just over a week after the fourth-generation family business, Frank Roberts & Son Ltd, filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
